Sustaining camaraderie for better service to Bangsamoro

Sustaining good relationship in workplace results to better output of tasks. It can promote healthy work environment. One research shows that workers are happier in their jobs when friendship is there with their colleagues. They find their jobs more fun, enjoyable, worthwhile and satisfying. Moreover, good relationship at work creates a common sense of purpose and the mentality that we are in it together.

In this same manner on giving value to its workforce that, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) is regularly organizing a weekly gathering for its management, staff and volunteers spearheaded by the agency’s Human Resource Development (HRD) Division.

Happening every Sunday of the week, the activity has been practiced in the past, was even strengthened last Ramadhan of this present year, and is being sustained regularly.

During this weekly gathering, members and officers of BDA get the chance to discuss relevant matters regarding office works, updates about on-going programs and projects, policies and guidelines including concerns and issues encountered by staff and employees.

Through this, everyone is informed and challenges are addressed and were given appropriate action collectively.

The presence of the agency’s management during the weekly meeting makes the activity more meaningful as it cultivates an important relationship between supervisor and employees.

Consistent inputs on the history of the BDA and the primary purpose of its creation strengthen the commitment and deepens the understanding of staff and volunteers towards valuing more their respective tasks.

Also being discussed during the meeting are core values of the BDA specifically on time management, which is among the objectives of this regularly activity for the staff to practice punctuality.

Moreover, the conduct of BDA Weekly Gathering is based on the agency’s guiding principle that “change must begin with one’s self”. The BDA as one family shall make change first in itself as an organization by applying good values at work in fulfilling its mandate to deliver service for Bangsamoro.

Finally, with its slogan “building people who will the nation”, the BDA shall project a model of development for Bangsamoro being a development agency tasked to build the capacity, institution and confidence of the Bangsamoro.
