HUMANITARIAN PROGRAMS
The Humanitarian Program of the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) is anchored on the establishment of the organization that is in accordance to the Humanitarian and Rehabilitation Aspects of the GH- MILF Tripoli Agreement of 2001.

In 2019, we published a document that consolidated the efforts of the BDA since its early days as organization. This report is published at https://bda.org.ph/media/k2/PDFs/BDA_HumSocWel2019.pdf
At present, regular programs of the BDA related to humanitarian are Orphanage Management, Ramadhan and Qurban Programs. However, BDA also takes action to emergency and crisis situation for communities within and outside the Bangsamoro Region, driven by the spirit of volunteerism and compassion for others.
Ramadhan Program
This is an annual seasonal program of the BDA Inc. since 2014 with the support of various humanitarian foundations in Turkey. Through this program, hundreds of families received food packs each year that were supplemental to their daily consumption.
Distribution of assistance is common to any Muslim individual or organization especially during the Holy month of Ramadhan, wherein good deeds are rewarded multiple times aside from the obligation to perform fasting during this period.
Ramadhan is the 9th month of Hijri Calendar. It is a season of fasting prescribed to every Muslim worldwide.

Qurban Program
Qurban Program is another annual, seasonal program of BDA since 2014. It refers to the ritual of sacrificing an animal (goat, sheep and cow) which meat are distributed to poor families. This act is inspired or in commemoration of the obedience and faith of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) to the divine command to sacrifice his son Ismael.
Each year, Muslims around the world, mostly those who can afford, perform this act as means to the willingness to sacrifice and share what is valuable to them, in the name of religion. BDA has been a local partner in facilitating the slaughter and distribution of sacrificed animals sponsored by various humanitarian foundations from Turkey.
Orphanage Management
The program on care and love for the orphans started in 2015 when the IHH partnered with the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA Inc.) for the management and operation of the orphanage officially inaugurated that year.
It has been catering hundreds of orphans across BARMM through in-house and distant services for the children- recipients of the program.
In-house orphans are housed at orphanage centers in Cotabato City provided with free accommodation, food/meals, clothing, education (revealed and secular) and other basic necessities. Aside from this, the management also provide the children with outdoor activities where they can enjoy through various games while having a tour to beautiful places in the Bangsamoro, or even outside the region.
Distant orphans are those who remain at their homes with their families or guardians and are provided with monthly allowance intended for their education and health.
