Each of the six camps had been provided with one unit of motorcycle in support to the on-going implementation of the MTFRDP/2.
Over-all, a total of 6 units of motorcycles were given for Camp Abubakar, Camp Bilal, Camp Bushra, Camp Badr, Camp Omar and Camp Rajamuda.
“We agree that this is an amanah entrusted to us which can be of help to make our project implementation smooth and easy to undertake”, Engr. Windel P. Diangcalan, BDA Deputy Executive Director said in his message.
Diangcalan believes that those entrusted with this small blessing will be able to manage it well and deliver their duties for the benefit of the communities they serve.
Chairman of each camp along with their members received the said motorcycles and grateful of the big help of which to their tasks in the implementation of the MTFRDP/2.
JTFCT is a Normalization body created under the CAB of the GPH-MILF Peace Process which task is to coordinate and monitor projects in support to the CAB.
Key officers from the BDA and CFSI and members of the JTFCT attended the said turn-over ceremony.
MTFRDP/2 is a program partnership signed between the BDA and the Community and Family Services International (CFSI) which aim is to improve access of targeted communities in the conflict-affected areas in Mindanao to basic socio-economic infrastructure and alternative learning system.
This intervention is comprised of engaging the communities through a community-driven development and alternative learning system with an end in view of making those productive, participative and peaceful communities. Moreover, this is in line with the Normalization Aspect of the CAB.
MTFRDP/2 is supported by the Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF) with various donors such as the European Union, the government of Sweden, Australia, Canada, United States, New Zealand and the World Bank, which also serves as Trust Fund Administrator and Secretariat.
The Spanish Cooperation Agency for International Development (AECID) is also supporting the project.
