BDA executive director Mohammad S. Yacob welcomed Tayzon together with Dr. Sherjan Kalim, agency’s focal person on health and Amiruddin Gayak, program in-charge under the BDA-UNFPA partnership.
According to Dir. Yacob, the visit was intended for the UNFPA to get feedback from BDA regarding future plans on health program.
“They wanted to get our inputs in line with the UNFPA’s Country Programme towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal”, Yacob disclosed.
BDA told Tayzon of agency’s desire of health programs as informed by the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP).
“Health programs such as medical mission, engaging the community, minor surgeries and among others were few of the health needs that we mentioned to our visitor”, Yacob told.
BDA and UNFPA has been partners since 2005 for the program dubbed as Strengthening Capacities for Sexual Reproductive Health Service Delivery and Advocacy in the Bangsamoro.
